Got questions? We’ve got you covered.
We’ve gathered the most common questions to help you prepare for Alpine Edge. If you don’t find your answer here, feel free to reach out – we’re happy to help.

We arrange your stay, meals, guided activities, and gear. You travel to Austria independently. Before departure, we’ll send a packing list with practical details.

A good base level of fitness is needed; you don’t need alpine experience.

We provide technical gear. You bring your own clothing and essentials.

Participants must have a valid travel insurance with mountain sports & rescue coverage (mandatory)

Depending on the activity, one mountain guide or coach works with 1 to 5 participants. For coaching sessions, the group size may vary depending on the objective and chosen approach. Safety, personal attention, and quality of experience are always our top priorities.

You can apply by filling out the online application form on our website. Once submitted, our team will review your application and contact you with the next steps. Please ensure all required documents are included.

All activities are conducted in English. Our guides and coaches are fluent and ensure clear communication throughout the experience. Part of the crew also speaks Dutch, which can be helpful for informal conversations or clarification when needed.

Full details will be shared upon registration. We maintain fair terms and aim to accommodate changes where possible.

Safety is our top priority. We work with certified mountain guides (UIAGM / IFMGA / IVBV) and provide reliable technical gear. Each activity is designed with personal attention and care.

To join this program, you are required to have travel insurance that specifically covers mountain sports. This is essential for your own safety and to avoid unexpected high costs in case of an emergency.

Your insurance must include coverage for:

  • Search and rescue operations, including helicopter rescue in mountainous terrain
  • Medical expenses abroad
  • Repatriation to your home country
  • Participation in high-risk activities, such as mountain hiking above 2,000m, alpine routes, via ferrata, canyoning, and/or climbing

Please note: Most standard travel insurance policies do not automatically cover these activities. You are responsible for checking and upgrading your policy if needed.

Before the program begins, we will ask you to:

  • Provide proof of your insurance coverage
  • Sign a liability waiver, confirming that you understand and accept that participation is at your own risk

Without valid insurance, you cannot participate in the program.
